We are two sisters who are on a culinary journey that began some twenty years ago in our parent's kitchen. We are passionate about food and like to experience different cuisines. This blog is a medium for us to note down, share and enjoy our food experience. More importantly, it is a way of bonding over something we are both passionate about. Hope you enjoy this journey as much as we do.

Rachael Ray salad

Why the name Rachael Ray? Because we have used a readymade salad dressing called the Tonton's Ginger salad dressing" to go with our salad! Ever since we discovered this dressing we have stopped making our own ginger dressing. This dressing was invented by Yoshi, owner cum chef of the famous Japanese restuarant "Tokyo" in Charlotte, NC. They used it in their restaurants and it became so popular that customers kept asking for it. Hence they decided to make the dressing on a large scale and sell it commercially to meet the growing demand of their customers.
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 0
1 1/4 cup European salad mix
3 tsp onions chopped finely lengthwise
2 tsp chick peas (we use canned chick peas)
1 tsp sunflower nuts
1 tsp sweetened dry cranberries
5 croutons
2 tsp mexican cheese blend
2 tbsp Tonton ginger dressing
Combine everything in a bowl. Add the dressing just before serving. Mix well and eat.
Enjoy!
