Appo( a South Indian breakfast delicacy)


Urad dal 1 cup
Channa dal 1 cup

Soak the 2 Dal's in water and leave overnight. After 24 hours grind them coarsely adding very little water.

The making of a dish requires a special griddle called Appe Kaayli. Heat this griddle. add oil to all its corners. Place the batter in each of its corners. Once cooked(turned golden brown) on one side flip the next side over. Cook similarly.

Remove and serve hot with coconut-coriander chutney.
